Once you arrive, please have a seat in the waiting area, and your counselor will come out to get you once it is time. Due to limited space within the waiting area, please do not bring more than one person with you if possible.
If we are not in network with your insurance, you will be expected to pay the private pay rate for your services. We will provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance company to possibly receive some form of reimbursement from your insurance company if your deductible has been met. It is up to your insurance plan whether services are covered or not.
(We do not submit Superbills on behalf of the client)
Insurance can be a gift or the bane of our existence.
Here are some terms that you may find helpful.
IN-NETWORK OR OUT-OF-NETWORK
If your provider is "in-network" with your insurance, this means that we have a contract with them to charge you exactly what the terms of the contract is. This also means that we accept whatever the terms are of your plan: such as deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance. *More on that later*
If we are "out-of-network" with your insurance plan, this means that we have no specific agreement with your insurance company, and we will charge our usual private pay rate. You will be responsible for the full fee of your session and we will provide you with a "superbill" which will have all of the information for you to submit to your insurance company to request some form of reimbursement.
If we are "in-network" with your insurance company, you may have a copay of anywhere $10-70$ per session that will be your financial responsibility if your deductible has been met.
A deductible is a set amount that you must meet for healthcare benefits before your health insurance company starts to pay for your care. Co-pays are typically charged after a deductible has already been met. A deductible can range anywhere from $0-$10,000 for example.
Some insurance companies rely on percentage fee splits versus flat rates. Meaning that the client may pay 25% and the insurance company will pay 75%.
When you schedule your intake, the Office Manager will check your benefits. This means that we will call your insurance directly or access your information via insurance site to obtain your estimate. We will pass this information to you to make sure that you have an understanding of what your charges will most likely be. This is an guestimate. We will never truly know that the insurance company will pay until they respond to the claims that have been submitted.
* We do not claim to be Insurance Experts*
Yes, we do have a private pay option of $110 to $165 which is dependent on a sliding scale. Proof of income would be required every 3 months of services.
First off, it's wonderful that you are taking the time to put yourself first and work on your wellbeing. In counseling you can expect to explore past events, present situations and future goals. During your sessions you may describe your current situation, explore your feelings in relation to said situations and with the assistance of your therapist, utilize tools and techniques to assist with resolving the issues and/or processing the event. Overall, coming to counseling is to help you move a little closer to having your best possible self.
Both! We give clients the autonomy to choose how they would prefer to receive counseling.
You can do either of the following....
You would need to speak with a Physician or Nurse Practitioner that has a medical background in order to receive medication. For completion of Home Bound Appllication, please consult a Psychologist.
We do not have medicaition at our facility. We do not prescribe medication at our facility.
We continue to offer a mix of HIPAA compliant teletherapy and in person sessions.
If you are coming for an in person session, please wait in your car and enter 5 minutes before your session. Due to a small waiting area, we ask that only 1 individual accompanies you to your session, unless it is your first initial intake.
If you or your therapist believe that they have been exposed to covid-19, or have exhibited symptoms of communicable, teletherapy is an option to utilize.
DO NOT COME TO YOUR SESSION SICK
