I believe everyone deserves to live a happy, fulfilling life. I also understand that trauma can make that feel difficult, or even out of reach at times. Trauma therapy is one way I help individuals heal, reconnect with themselves, and reclaim a sense of peace, balance, and well-being.


The Impact of Trauma

Trauma can affect emotional, mental, and physical health in lasting ways. Whether it stems from abuse, loss, accidents, or other distressing experiences, Trauma can show up as anxiety, intrusive memories, emotional overwhelm, physical tension, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others.


I offer trauma-informed therapy tailored to your unique experiences, with the goal of reducing the intensity of trauma-related symptoms and helping you move forward with greater ease and clarity.


Trauma Therapy Approaches I Use

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • What it is: EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements.
     
  • How it helps: EMDR works to reduce the emotional, mental, and physical charge connected to distressing memories, allowing them to be integrated in a way that feels less triggering and overwhelming.
     
  • Symptoms it can address: Flashbacks, anxiety, depression, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, physical tension, and more.
